It’s been almost three years since Angela Yee walked away from her spot on The Breakfast Club, but the radio host says she does not miss the friendships with her former cohosts, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy.
“It’s more like a ‘hi, bye’ thing if I see them,” she told Carlos King in a recent sitdown.
“They both have their own lives and their own families and their own things that they do and, like, many kids. I don’t even know how many kids everybody has at this point,” she continued.
Yee says that the pair does not really see each other outside of work, so it’s not a big deal that she does not hang out with them personally.
King then asked Yee whether she missed her past cohosts.
“They’re still right down the hall… I wouldn’t say that I miss them. I really am happy in the space that I’m in,” she added.
After over a decade of cohosting alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, Yee stepped away to host her own show, Way Up With Angela Yee. There was some controversy at the time as Yee expressed that she did not feel that her male cohost had her back during her time on the show as the only female host.
