Youths Set Fulani Settlement On Fire in Kwara Over Alleged Ties With Kidnappers

A Fulani settlement in Kemenji Village, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State has been set ablaze.

The youths accused the residents of aiding bandits involved in the kidnapping and killing of locals.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the youths, reportedly led by one Ibrahim Bature, stormed the settlement and set several huts on fire before fleeing the area.

In response to the attack, troops of the Nigerian Army, working in coordination with the police and other security agencies, swiftly deployed to the scene to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Security forces successfully restored calm in the area, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspected ringleader and other individuals connected to the incident.

Authorities have since warned residents against taking the law into their own hands, assuring the public that security agencies remain committed to protecting lives and property across the region.
