Nollywood actress Toyin Alausa, known for her roles in Yoruba films, recently shared her personal experience working alongside fellow actress Funke Akindele. This comes after skit maker Ganiyu Kehinde, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, made headlines by claiming that he was paid N90k for a month of work on Akindele’s movie set, though he later apologized and clarified his statement.
In response to the controversy, Alausa opened up about her own time on set with Akindele. She expressed her willingness to speak out, emphasizing that silence could easily be misinterpreted. The actress confidently stated that, based on her multiple collaborations with Akindele, she can attest to the fact that Akindele pays her cast and crew fairly and ensures they are well taken care of.
Alausa praised Akindele for providing timely payments and creating a comfortable work environment, affirming that her experiences have always been positive. She also took the opportunity to remind people of the importance of appreciating those who dedicate their time, money, and effort into building successful projects.
In her message, Alausa encouraged others to refrain from making sweeping generalizations, emphasizing that Akindele, who had recently prayed for actor Timini, is a hardworking, visionary woman who sets an example by lifting others in the industry.
