Toni Braxton reportedly tied to knot with her longtime partner, Cash Money boss Birdman last year.
According to court documents, the couple were married on August 8, 2024 but the singer filed for divorce just two weeks later citing their marriage as “irretrievably broken,” and in the papers, she claimed they had separated just two days after their wedding, on August 10.
After months of separation, according to the paperwork, the singer decided to dismiss the divorce petition on January 2025, so they are still married.
Toni Braxton and Birdman first crossed paths in 2002, collaborating on Birdman’s track “Baby You Can Do It.” However, it wasn’t until May 2016 that their long-standing friendship turned romantic.
“That’s my love, my soldier, my life — she’s my everything,” Birdman told talk show host Wendy Williams back in. “She’s my life. I love her to death.”
By February 2018, the couple announced their engagement, only to call it off in January 2019. In December 2023, Toni Braxton took to social media to deny a rumo circulating that she and the rapper were wed.
“My dear friend @birdman and I are not married…never been married. We are both single,” she wrote at the time.
