Ever since Sister Wives premiered, fans of the hit reality show have witnessed the Brown family go through a lot of wild scandals. Sister Wives Paedon Brown Told Friends He Was “Poor”
Easily one of TLC’s most successful shows ever, it is hard to overstate how big of a hit that Sister Wives has been for the network. Since the show has been wildly successful for so long, the 19th season of Sister Wives is airing as of the time of this writing.
In the years since Sister Wives premiered on September 26, 2010, more than 200 episodes of the reality show have aired. With the Brown family has always been at the center of such a successful show, it seems obvious they should have been paid a fortune. On top of that, there is no doubt that the Brown family has had other opportunities to cash in.
With all that in mind, Sister Wives fans had every reason to assume that the members of the Brown family are rich. Despite that, Paedon Brown spoke out publicly about being “#poor” and asked his followers for “help.”

According to the video, Peadon’s TikTok upload with that caption also asked his fans for their financial help. While Paedon wasn’t asking for donations, he asked his fans to buy cute automobile accessories that he would make money from.

On March 3rd, 2022, Paedon uploaded a video on his TikTok account that featured him walking in a Costco store. As the video begins, Paedon can be seen saying that he is starving.
Everyone, I just snuck into Costco. Yes, I have a membership. Yes, my mom, Christine, pays for it because she has money, and I am a starving adult.
Considering that Paedon was continuing to speak out about money troubles days after his first post, it seems clear that things didn’t turn around quickly.
As a March 2025 People article reveals, Paedon Brown is the only son of Kody Brown and Christine Brown. However, Paedon has five sisters who are named Aspyn Thompson, Mykelti Padron, Gwendlyn Queiroz, Ysabel Brown, and Truely Brown.
However, some claims that he was speaking out about being broke months later are inaccurate. It has been reported that Paedon spoke about asking his dad for financial help and not getting it during an interview. However, those reports are inaccurate.

During the interview from John Yates’ YouTube channel, Paedon claimed that Kody tried to get TLC to force his children to not be able to say negative things about him in public.
“They’re high ups in TLC, and he’s trying to discuss with them, trying to put it in our contracts that we are not allowed to say anything negative about him on our platforms. I’m not allowed to talk about anything negative with him on our platforms, and he’s fighting with mom about it because mom is saying, ‘You can’t control our children that way.'”
As Paedon continued, he claimed that his father was telling his mom what their kids couldn’t say. “He’s trying to say your children can’t say anything bad about me.” In response, Paedon was asked if his dad wanted to be able to sue him and he clarified that if that had been added to his contract, it would have been TLC that sued him.
TLC would have legal ramifications to sue me for speaking negatively about my father.
However, Paedon stated that TLC didn’t agree to Kody’s request to add that stipulation to their contracts. “TLC was like, ‘I don’t think we should do that.'” With that in mind, it makes sense that Paedon and his siblings can also still speak out about their father.
