Big Brother Naija’s former housemate Uriel Oputa has received praise from netizens as she offers to adopt the baby dumped by the riverside in Kogis State.
Kemi Filani reported on Friday that a baby girl was found crying near Niger Bridge in the Ajaokuta area of Kogi State. A resident, Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, who posted the video, said the child was found by one of the leaders of the community after he heard her crying at the riverside.
The community leader said some baby clothes, a wrapper and other items were also found at the scene. He added that the community will notify the local government authorities and take care of the baby until they can identify the mother.
Reacting to the heartbreaking news via the comment section of a popular blog, Uriel offered to raise and care for the baby. She promised that the baby would never go hungry in her care.

It isn’t surprising that Uriel offers to help the abandoned child, as the reality star has a caring heart.
Some weeks back, the chef had revealed how caring for her ailing mother taught her how to forgive. Uriel said that over the years, she realised she was carrying a lot of anger and finally had to let it go. This experience is why she is so passionate about speaking on health and prevention, and she wants to make sure others don’t go through what she is going through because it is fucking hard.
Also, Uriel shared her experience taking care of her mother, who has dementia. She revealed that caring for someone with dementia, especially when the person is her mother, is the most challenging, heartbreaking, and rewarding experience. She said that each day brings new hurdles and deep emotions, yet they face it with love. In the end, love becomes both her strength and solace.
In 2022, Uriel shed tears of joy as she reunited with her mother in London. Uriel’s mother broke down in tears at the joy of seeing her daughter. Sharing the touching video, Uriel called her mother her best friend.
