Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has urged the sitting Governor, Hope Uzodimma, to warn his aides against disparaging him.
This was contained in a statement issued yesterday by the Special Adviser to Okorocha on Media, Sam Onwuemeodo.
The former governor wondered why Uzodimma’s aides were in the constant habit of attacking him, even though since the incumbent governor took office from Emeka Ihedioha, he has not attacked him in any form.
He recalled that some years ago, all the outstanding differences were resolved, and he wondered why the appointees had continued to unleash attacks on him.
Consequently, the former Senator, who represented Imo West Senatorial District, promised to organise a special Easter prayer for the success of the Uzodimma administration.
He said: “Since January 2020, when Governor Hope Uzodimma took office, neither Owelle Rochas Okorocha nor any of his former appointees had woken up any day and took to the media to attack him or his government. Okorocha had only responded to issues or attacks against him when the 3R government came on board. And l stand to be contradicted on these innocent claims. As I said, that was at the early stage of the 3R government.”
“Some years back, Okorocha came and called a meeting of his former appointees and told them that whatever the misunderstanding between him and Uzodimma had been settled. That development had warranted some former senior aides of Okorocha to begin to relate freely with the governor and his government.
“Unfortunately, some senior appointees of the governor have continued to insult or attack Okorocha unwarranted and unprovoked.
