In a Media Take Out exclusive, we interviewed a traditional healer from Nigeria has stepped forward to claim that Tory and Casanova’s legal woes were the result of a “bad luck spell” she personally cast after the two allegedly disrespected sacred ground during a video shoot six years ago.
Let’s rewind.
Back in 2019, Tory Lanez and Casanova traveled to Nigeria to shoot the video for “2AM”, a collab track with Afrobeats superstar Davido. The shoot took place in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Lagos, where, according to the healer, the rappers were only allowed to film if they promised to pay every local who appeared in the video.
Well… they didn’t.
According to the healer, the two artists dipped back to the U.S. immediately after filming, allegedly without paying anyone. She says she was deeply offended — not just for the community, but for the spiritual disrespect of filming on sacred ground without honoring the agreement.
“I decided to take matters into my own hands,” she told Media Take Out. Her solution? A “bad luck” curse on both rappers. And, yes, she says it’s working exactly as intended.
She claims she even reached out to both Tory and Casanova via social media, giving them a chance to “reverse the spell” by simply paying what they owed. But both allegedly ignored or refused her message.
Meanwhile, Davido — who did reportedly pay everyone — was spared from the curse. “He showed respect,” the healer said. “That’s why he wasn’t affected.”
Let’s be clear: both Tory and Casanova are currently serving serious time for very real legal charges — not magical ones.
- Tory Lanez is serving 10 years in prison after being convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020. He began his sentence in August 2023 and is currently locked up at the California Correctional Institution.
- Casanova was sentenced to 188 months (15 years and 8 months) after being indicted on RICO chargesrelated to gang activity in 2020.
But in the court of public opinion — and on the spiritual side of the internet — this latest twist has people wondering: is it coincidence… or karma conjured by candlelight?
Of course, there’s no official evidence linking any of their legal issues to ancient spells or spiritual payback. But one thing’s for sure: this story has layers, and hip-hop lore just got a new chapter.
As for Tory and Casanova? Whether it’s bad luck, bad choices, or a little bit of both — they may be learning the hard way that disrespecting people (and places) has consequences.
