Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the suspended representative for Kogi Central, arrived at her country home in Ihima on Tuesday afternoon, despite the state government-imposed ban on public gatherings and a curfew set by local government authorities.
The suspended senator, who touched down around 1:00 pm aboard a helicopter, was met with cheers from a massive crowd of supporters who had gathered as early as 7:00 am, eager to welcome her back.

While addressing the crowd, she told her supporters that nobody and nothing could stop her from coming home.
She declared; “Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming home. I’m an Ebira woman; this is my land. I’m the daughter of the late Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I’m not a bastard, and I’m not afraid of anybody.”

The Kogi State Government recently announced a ban on rallies and public gatherings across the state, citing security concerns arising from intelligence reports of planned infiltrations by troublemakers.
Senator Natasha has been a controversial figure in recent months, following her suspension from the Senate for alleged misconduct and sexual harassment claims against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
On March 26, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) notified her of a recall petition filed by some members of her constituency.
It was reported that 250,000 voters, more than half of the district’s registered voters, signed the petition.
