Meagan Good is opening up about her split from her ex-husband, DeVon Franklin, and she clarified who walked away from whom in the marriage.
“What I can say is, it’s not that anybody did anything wrong. I can’t say that he fu–ed that up and I can’t say that I f–ked that up,” she told Jason Lee.
“We grew from it. I don’t think that any time was wasted. I think that everything in life, every single season, you do learn so much, and you do grow so much, and you give so much, and you do get so much,” she added.
Meagan DeVon Franklin met on the set of Jumping the Broom in 2011, and they were married in June 2012. While together, they co-authored the bestseller The Wait, which addressed their decision to remain celibate before marriage. They announced their separation in December 2021.
Meagan has always maintained that DeVon wanted to end the marriage, but has not provided specifics about what drove him to leave.
Meagan began dating Jonathan Majors in May 2023. The pair announced their engagement at the same gala in November 2024, where they had initially met and tied the knot in March 2025.
