He Is About To Add Another Wife And Has Forced Me To Accept The Lady – Nigerian Woman Laments Ill-treatment By Her Husband Despite Accepting His Decision

A Nigerian woman, Adewale Diyahatullah Bissolaaty, has spoken about the ill-treatment meted to her by her husband despite being forced to accept his decision to take another wife.

 

She disclosed this under a post by a marriage therapist, Shamseddin Giwa, who took a swipe at Muslim men who marry other women, sometimes secretly, without seeking their wife’s consent and forcing them to accept the decision.

 

According to her, the new woman is yet to enter but her husband has changed, is always angry with her, leaves home at the slightest provocation and even tells her to leave his house.

 

“What I am going through now and crying about right now. My husband is about to add another wife and has forced me to accept the lady which I did and the lady and I have been chatting and talking on phone,” she wrote.

     

“The lady visited us twice, the day he brought her home to show our asalatu society and on the day of Eid to celebrate Eid with us, he’s even yet to marry the lady, he hasn’t gone to her house to ask for hand in marriage, he’s always on his phone day and night chatting with the lady and when I complain he starts to manipulate me.

     

“As I type this message I am crying just because I told him again that I don’t like the way he chats with the lady while we’re on bed together, the next thing he said was, Do you want to kill me?, must you know whatever I do on my phone?, do you even know the favour Allah has done to you by gifting you these kids??

     

Then I asked how have I wronged you?, his response was, you’re frustrating my life, and it has always been his habit to pick up his car key and go sleep out of the house without knowing where he headed to, at the end of the day, I’m always the one begging him, kneeling down and crying that he should forgive me, even when I didn’t offend him , while asking him to tell me how I have disgraced myself like he said, his response was (Let us go our separate ways).

     

“I don’t have a job, the little I make from my online business, I end up sharing it among my siblings . Now he has always said it that I should leave his house and I want this to be the last time he’s going to say this. I am frustrated right now cos even if I want to leave, I have no penny on me.”
