DJ Akademiks is showing love to his longtime friend, Tekashi 6ix9ine, for sticking by him after the streamer faced heavy backlash after getting caught up in an alleged child grooming scandal.
“I made a lot of artists 10s of millions. 6ix9ine never took what I did for him for granted. EAT A D–K if I did sum for u but u never rocked wit me how he does. He showed me love. Always that’s my man’s,” he wrote on Instagram Stories.

DJ Akademiks faced heavy backlash after he was caught on stream making inappropriate remarks toward 15-year-old Twitch streamer NourGxd during a live stream. After asking the teen a series of graphic questions on live stream, he was accused of grooming. Ak did apologize for his behavior after first doubling down.
“A very regretful moment happened where it derived from a Discord where we are usually like super buddy-buddy and honestly, if everything I said in that court got leaked, it would be crazy. Definitely a regrettable moment and we’re gonna use this as a teachable moment,” he said at the time.

The rainbow-haired rapper has always had some trouble involving minors.
6ix9ine was sentenced to four years probation after he was arrested and taken into custody in 2015 for the use of a 13-year-old child in a sexual performance. He pled guilty to three felony counts for the incident, in which he allegedly “stood behind the child making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on her butt–ks.”
