Deal Or No Deal Island’s David Genat Needs To Star In These Reality Shows Next

When the cast of Deal or No Deal Island’s second season was announced, fans were very excited about the reality show, which is one of Peacock’s best shows. After all, fans learned that season two would be a must-see since Joe Manganiello, who is a great host, would be returning and the Survivor Hall of Famer Parvati Shallow would star in the show. Dr. Will Kirby was also joined the show, and he would boost the show’s ratings, feud with Parvati, bond with “Boston” Rob, and be so great he should be on every reality show.

Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 also featured David Genat, who had a “golden gods” feud with Dr. Will. On top of being confronted by Dr. Will, David was so incredibly entertaining on Deal or No Deal Island that he needs to join the cast of these other reality shows next.

Why David Genat Needs To Compete On The Challenge

During the second season of Deal or No Deal Island, David Genat put on one of the most impressive reality show performances ever. Able to exhibit all the skills that any reality show competitor needs to succeed, David showed that he deserves to be considered one of the greats of the genre.

Considering how impressive David truly was on the show, there is no doubt that reality show fans want to see more of the “golden god.” With that in mind, it begs an obvious question. Which reality shows should David compete on next?

While there are many reality shows to choose from, one of them seems to be an obvious choice for someone with David’s skills to compete on next. Based on what David has proven he is capable of, it would make perfect sense for him to compete on The Challenge next.

For a long time, shows like The Real World and Jersey Shore were MTV’s top reality shows. These days, however, there is a strong argument that The Challenge has become the network’s most notable reality show, at least for fans of competition shows.

Exclusive: DONDI’s Phillip Solomon And Dickson Wong On How One Played With Integrity And The Other Was A Weasel

Phillip Solomon And Dickson Wong exclusively talked to TheThings about how differently they played Deal or No Deal Island.

An absolute behemoth of a man, there is no doubt that David likes to push himself physically. In fact, David has revealed that he has no interest in competing on the American version of Survivor because it wouldn’t challenge him in the way he wants.

In March 2025, David Genat told Parade why he has no interest in competing on the American version of Survivor. “Look, and this is no disrespect. Actually, it is going to be disrespect. American Survivor is not what it was, in my opinion. If this was 20 years ago, that’s the game I want to play. I think Australian Survivor is so superior in every way to that game. I don’t want to do puzzles with a bunch of dorks, man,” David continues. “I feel like it’s just gamebots. I want to see real competition, real strategy, real physical strategy, and all in that diverse, social strategic gameplay. I just don’t really think that’s what it is anymore. I’m not saying I beat it. But it just doesn’t interest me. Survivor 50, for me, is just not interesting, which might be a bit sacrilegious. But I’ve won the harder, better version of the game and against the best players.”

Given how David likes to push himself physically and mentally, it would make perfect sense for him to compete on The Challenge. After all, it would truly epic to see David compete against someone like Christopher “CT” Tamburello.

Since David won a season of Australian Survivor before competing on Deal or No Deal Island, that is another reason why he should go on The Challenge.

Survivor Players Who Could Have Been Great On The Challenge, According to Medium

  • Sean Rector
  • Natalie Bolton
  • Dreamz Herd
  • Corinne Kaplan
  • Colby Donaldson
  • Alicia Calaway
  • “Boston Rob” Mariano
  • Parvati Shallow
  • James Clement
  • Heidi Strobel
  • Ozzy Lusth
  • Stephenie LaGrossa

After all, there is a long history of Survivor players going on to compete on The Challenge.

Deal Or No Deal Island’s Parvati Shallow Has Made Her Castmates Look Completely Foolish

Deal Or No Deal Island’s Parvati Shallow has made her co-stars look absolutely foolish in a truly incredible way.

According to The Challenge wiki, former Survivor players who competed on the MTV show include Sarah Lacina, Jay Starrett, Michele Fitzgerald, and Michaela Bradshaw. Chris Underwood, Ben Driebergen, Cassidy Clark, Domenick Abbate, Natalie Anderson, Shan Smith, Tyson Apostol, and Tasha Fox also competed on The Challenge.

As impressive as that former list of Survivor players is, there is no doubt that David could hold his own among them.

Why David Genat Has To Compete On The Traitors

As every Deal or No Deal Island fan should already know, one of David Genat’s main allies on that show was Parvati Shallow. Before Parvati joined the cast of Deal or No Deal Island, she was last seen competing on The Traitors. After winning Deal or No Deal Island, David needs to transition to The Traitors next.

From the start, it has to be noted that The Traitors features physically demanding missions throughout each season.

Those missions are the most obvious reason why David would be a good match for The Traitors. As this article previously stated, David has the physical skills to become the missions MVP during a season of The Traitors.

Deal Or No Deal Island’s Parvati Shallow exclusively tells TheThings whether she would want David Genat or Dickson Wong to win the show.

Most importantly, The Traitors has become the show that brings together elite reality show stars from across the genre.

Given that David has now proven that he deserves to be called a reality show great, it only makes sense for him to compete against the elite. It would be fantastic to see David grapple with a cast with many people who’ve proven to be of the same caliber that he is.

Other Reality Shows That David Genat Could Compete On Next

While The Traitors and The Challenge seem to be perfect shows for David Genat to compete on, they are far from the only ones. In fact, there are many more reality shows that would be lucky to have David join their cast.

During David’s life and career, he has traveled the world and found success in many different locales. With that in mind, it seems clear that David would be able to succeed on The Amazing Race. Perhaps David could team up with Parvati Shallow again on that show.

As a father and husband, David may not want to give up three months of his life to a TV show. That said, if that was something that he would be open to, it would be fascinating to see David deal with the pressure-cooker demands of competing on Big Brother.

Some other reality shows that David could be a good match to compete on other shows like Alone and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
