Keeping his promise to his followers, DDG has cut his locs after reaching his Twitch goal of reaching 40,000 subscribers.
The streamer took part in a “Hit-A-Thon,” which lasted a week, and his supporters watched him create an entire album from scratch. During the event, DDG vowed to cut his locs if he reached his target.
He surpassed his target at the end of the Hit-A-Thon, racking up an impressive 42,000 followers.
“Cutting my dreads right now on Twitch,” DDG said. “It’s 60,000 people watching on Twitch.”
“I’mma go right back to where I started,” he said later after the final loc had been clipped. “I’mma be a sky top again. I got to grow everything out.”
In the comments section, his fans praised his new look.
“This is actually very spiritual I don’t even think any of them realize it yet. I thought it was going to be a bad idea for him but I love this for him so much. I know he feels lighter already,” one viewer commented.
“I can see you getting plenty of movie roles now in all genres..great look,” another wrote.
