Priyanka Rawat, a 24-year-olf woman has sadly d!ed after falling from a roller coaster.
The young woman was spending a day with her fiancé, Nikhil Singh, at Fun N Food Water & Amusement Park, in the South West Delhi district of India on Wednesday, April 2, The Indian Express reported.
The duo began in the waterpark area before moving to the amusement park section.
Rawat and Singh, recently engaged in February 2025, climbed aboard a roller coaster together in the early evening.
As the ride began, Rawat fell about 20 feet and sustained severe injuries, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Southwest Dehli Surendra Choudhary said, per the outlets.
“During the rollercoaster ride, when the swing reached its peak, the stand broke, and Priyanka fell straight down,” a police official told India Today.
Police claim the accident was due to a faulty or malfunctioning seat belt on the ride, Times of India reported.
After being transported to Manipal Hospital, Rawat was declared de@d upon arrival.
According to the medico-legal case report cited by Indian Express, Rawat had many injuries to her arms and legs, as well as an ENT (ears, nose and throat) bleed.
The police have opened a case into the amusement park into possible negligence and culpable homicide not amounting to murd£r.
