Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been getting candid about their controversial lives on TLC’s reality TV show, The Baldwins. But the former might have shared a little too information about the time he saw his wife’s ex naked… Yes, that happened, and Alec wanted everyone to know exactly what he saw that day.

In a March 23 episode of The Baldwins (Season 1, Episode 5 “Glengarry Glen Floss”), Hilaria talked about not having dated an actor before Alec. “No. Well, I mean, I wouldn’t date an actor when he was an actor,” she explained. “I dated an actor who then got to be on Broadway, and we went to go see him naked.”

Alec then recalled that the ex “had his bits out,” followed by other questionable innuendos. He was referring to the Broadway revival of Take Me Out (2022) starring Jesse Williams, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Patrick J. Adams, etc. The play famously featured full-frontal scenes. A secretly filmed clip of Jesse Williams from one of those scenes caused a stir online.
Hilaria laughingly reacted, “I think you remember this more than I do.” But Alec went on with the story, saying: “You can’t pay attention to a word [Hilaria’s ex is] saying. He’s standing right here talking to me.”
They eventually moved on from the topic, but Alec “felt it had to be told.”
The little storytime moment drew mixed reactions online. One wrote in the YouTube comments: “I think we’ve forgotten what entertainment really is. This is basically a taped, boring conversation with Alec trying to carry a moment by being overly animated, and his wife just perches awkwardly with nice hair and chirps a few words after.”
They added that “this is not fun to watch,” with others agreeing due to Alec’s Rust shooting. “The more he talks and tries to navigate life it just seems like he keeps blistering on and some bizarre circus show that he loses more and more ground,” another commented.

Alec didn’t name Hilaria’s said ex. He just teased that the ex-boyfriend was “important” and “one of the loves of her life.” Hilaria clarified that he was “not the love of [her] life,” but Alec kept insisting the ex was that significant.

Hilaria’s relationship history pre-Alec isn’t publicly known. But the Blind star told The New York Times he had “dated a lot of people since [his] divorce [from Kim Basinger in 2002],” and “wasn’t really ready to take that chance and to act until [he] met Hilaria” in 2011.
At that time, Alec recalled that “suddenly, the idea of avoiding commitment, of not moving forward, seemed misguided. A risk-free life is not worth living.” He “knew there was something unique” about Hilaria. Maybe her “fake” Spanish accent/heritage?
Hilaria “was in no hurry” to marry Alec, but he noted that she was “very mature and clear” about wanting to start a family someday. In her 2016 book, The Living Clearly Method, Hilaria said, “Loving Alec felt so good and so right” from the start.
The two have a 26-year marriage that initially sparked “gold digger” claims against Hilaria.
She later addressed it on their show, saying she “can understand” some of the criticism. “If I looked at a 27-year-old yoga instructor that was dating a 53-year-old rich and famous actor, what would I think?” she said.
Hilaria then told Alec: “People think that I married you for money, fame, glamour, all of these things…Why I married you is because you’re a good-looking guy. You were a good-looking guy.” They laughed as Alec pointed out the use of “were.”
The yoga instructor added that being married to Alec is not as glamorous as most think. “Can he be a curmudgeon? Absolutely. Can he be set in his ways? Absolutely,” she admitted. “But he’s really fantastic. He’s funny, he’s kind, he’s handsome, he’’ extraordinarily smart and he’s so generous.”

In April 2012, nearly a year after moving in together, Alec proposed to Hilaria. They tied the knot two months later at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York. Among the celebrity attendees were Alec’s brothers Billy and Stephen Baldwin, Tina Fey, Mariska Hargitay, and Woody Allen. They have since welcomed seven children together.

Hilaria gave birth to their youngest, nearly a year after Alec’s Rust shooting incident. In their family reality show, the latter opened up about going through PTSD after the tragedy. “I can’t even believe that we’re going through this,” he told Hilaria in a February episode.
Hilaria added that “everyone who is close to Alec has seen his mental health decline.”
She recalled that in her husband’s “darkest moments,” he’d ask himself, “If an accident had to have happened this day, why am I still here? Why couldn’t it have been me?”
By December 2024, all charges against Alec were dropped. He then filed a civil rights lawsuit against the district attorney, alongside other Santa Fe authorities, for wrongful prosecution in January 2025.
