The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills might be looking for their next diamond holder following Garcelle Beauvais’ exit in March. Garcelle, who starred as a main cast member from Seasons 10-14, announced on Instagram that she was quitting the show to focus on family and new projects.
With Garcelle’s shocking exit, the show runners may be scouring Hollywood for its next reality TV star. It’s too soon to say who will be returning after an intense, drama-filled Season 14, which included Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Girardi, Sutton Stracke, and Bozoma Saint John. The season also saw Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly star as friends of the cast.
However, one former The View co-host claims that she was approached by producers to join RHOBH. In fact, she isn’t the only famous person to reportedly be asked to join the Bravo series.

Former The View Host Debbie Matenopulous Might Be Joining The Ladies Of RHOBH Season 15
Debbie Matenopoulos Was The Youngest Co-Host On The View In The Late 90s
Debbie Matenopoulos is in talks to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 15. In an interview on Page Six Radio on SiriusXM, the TV host revealed that producers recently approached her about joining the cast. She’s currently in discussions to potentially appear alongside Kyle, Dorit, Sutton, Bozoma, and Erika—assuming these women return for the new season.
“I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say this,” Debbie began. “Yes, I am currently talking to them. When I mean currently, I mean like, currently. Like last week.”
Debbie, who was born Despina, admitted that it was “difficult” for her to make a decision because she had experienced public negativity at a young age, especially when she joined The View as a co-host at 22-years-old. She was the youngest of the four co-hosts that included Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, and Star Jones. Viewers widely criticized Debbie, believing she could not hold an intellectual conversation with the other women who had much more experience. “I started with inviting the world into my life when I didn’t even know what my life was, so it was very difficult.”
However, now that she is nearing 50, she told the hosts that she “could control the narrative a lot better.”
“So would I do it? I think it would be super fun, and I know a lot of those women,” Debbie shared, adding that she loves Kylie, Dorit, and Erika.

What Would Debbie Bring To RHOBH?
The TV Host Is Happy To Be A “Peacekeeper”
Fans may have doubts about bringing Debbie onto RHOBH as she’s shied away from the spotlight for quite some time. Her main claims to fame were starring on The View as a co-host in the late 90s, and she had a successful career as a television host in the early to mid-2000’s on E! News, including hosting the network’s weeknight celebrity gossip and pop culture series, The Daily 10. Other notable gigs include co-hosting work on the Hallmark Channel and the celebrity news magazine show, The Insider.
When speaking to Page Six News, Debbie revealed that she might be hesitant to take on the role of a new diamond holder because she isn’t exactly confrontational.
“I said to them, ‘I’m not a fighter, you guys. I’m not a fighter,'” Debbie told the show’s producers. “I really kind of say things how they are but never in a negative, mean girl sort of way. It always comes from a good place, so if you expect people to flip tables and do that kind of mess, you’re talking to the wrong girl.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast | Seasons |
---|---|
Kyle Richards | 1-14 |
Erika Girardi | 6-14 |
Dorit Kemsley | 7-14 |
Sutton Stracke | 10 (Friend) 11-14 (Main) |
Bozoma Saint John | 14 |
Kathy Hilton | 1, 3-5, 9-10 (Guest) 11-12 (Friend) 13 (Guest) 14 (Friend) |
Jennifer Tilly | 10, 12, 13 (Guest) 14 (Friend) |
Fans might find Debbie boring if she doesn’t want to involve herself in any of the women’s dramas. However, she did state that she could see herself as a “peacekeeper,” and the series definitely needs that after an intense Season 14.
“I would like that. I would feel like I’ve served my purpose on the show if I did something like that. I mean, I feel like I could help them,” the TV host said.

Rebel Wilson Admitted Her Spouse Was Asked To Be A Diamond Holder
Debbie is not the only Hollywood star that is reportedly in talks to join the ladies of RHOBH. During an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show podcast, actress Rebel Wilson revealed that her wife, Ramona Agruma, was approached by producers to join the cast. While Rebel thought it was a fantastic idea, Ramona, unfortunately, didn’t share the same enthusiasm.
“Here’s some hot gossip. Ramona just got asked to be a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills. Ramona would be great because she really tells it how it is. She doesn’t give a crap about whatever anybody says to her,” Rebel admitted.
“She’s not wanting to do it,” Wilson revealed with a hint of disappointment. “I was like, ‘But babe, it could be fun.’ I love the show, I love reality [television].” While Debbie has expressed interest in being the “peacekeeper” among the strong personalities on RHOBH, Ramona, who’s known for her straightforward approach might actually be the kind of unfiltered energy that fits right in with the drama-fueled franchise. Maybe Rebel can give her wife that extra push to even come on as a friend of the cast.
Additionally, Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz also hinted that she was asked to join the cast. Appearing as a guest on the Behind the Velvet Ropes with David Yontef podcast, Ana teased that she “may” have been asked to join RHOBH.
“I’m not gonna lie, there was a moment where I may have gotten an email from my agent where they may have been asking if I was interested in doing Beverly Hills,” she shared. However, Ana doesn’t reside in Beverly Hills, which could be one reason she isn’t cast.
All this talk about finding another cast member to join the show comes on the heels of Garcelle Beauvais announcing her departure from the show in March. In an Instagram post, Garcelle shared, “I’ve decided to leave Beverly Hills. It’s been a wild ride — I mean, some amazing things have happened and some hard things have also happened. But it’s been a ride nevertheless.”
At the RHOBH Part 3 reunion, Garcelle walked off set when she refused to take a cast photo. “Guys, I’m not doing this anymore. I don’t want cameras here,” she told production. “And I never say I don’t want cameras. I’m always a team player. But this — there’s no team.”
