Season 29 of The Bachelor concluded with Grant Ellis making a tough final decision and proposing to client service associate Juliana Pasquarosa. The season was filled with a roller coaster of emotions for both Grant and his final two women, Juliana and Litia Garr, after he told both women he loved them.
One person always gets their heart shattered on The Bachelor finale, but for Litia, she was completely caught off guard by his decision not to choose her in the end. However, Grant has shared that he went with what his heart truly wanted, and that was Juliana.
Surprisingly, the newly engaged couple decided not to watch their own finale episode, seemingly wanting to move forward with their romance after having to hide it for months.

The Bachelor Season 29’s Grant Ellis got down on one knee and proposed to Juliana Pasquarosa in the Dominican Republic in the finale. But before he gave her a stunning Neil Lane diamond ring, he had to confront Litia Garr that he had stronger feelings for someone else and would not go forward with their relationship.
The conclusion of The Bachelor is always hard to watch, so it made sense that Grant and Juliana chose not to watch it and have to relive it when it aired on March 24th.
“I didn’t watch last night,” Juliana shared in a joint interview with Grant for Entertainment Tonight. “I think I was just in a celebratory mindset. I really did so well in this whole process, compartmentalizing what we experienced in real life versus what was portrayed.”
“I’m just happy that we’re sitting here today and this is the end result.”
Juliana then expressed that she “didn’t need” to watch the finale as she and Grant “talked about” it in private. She praised her fiancé for how well he handled his confrontation with Litia.
“From what I’ve heard, he handled himself really well as I knew he would,” she shared.

The finale of Season 29 was intense as Grant decided to send Litia home. At the finale, he held Litia’s hands as he told her, “I’m not your person,” and admitted that his “emotional connection” was with Juliana. However, before Litia was sent home she told Grant that if she was Juliana “she would have a lot of questions” as he had allegedly made certain promises to her in private.
At the After the Final Rose special, Litia detailed that Grant wanted to end the reality TV show early so that they could be together. She told host Jesse Palmer before she confronted Grant that he told her she was his “No. 1 emotional connection” and even promised her that they would be getting engaged.
“It just reminds me how shocked I was, and how I really felt like I got the rug pulled out from under me.”
When Grant met with Litia on the couch, he shared that he had no regrets about his decision and his actions. “There could be a bunch of speculation as to off-camera conversations, but I know what I put on screen is how I felt and conversations were real. I stand on how I acted and what I did,” he said, adding, “I think I spoke too soon in a lot of situations and I’ll take responsibility for that.”
He also decided not to argue with Litia, telling Us Weekly:
“There’s room for interpretation when things are said, ‘off camera.’ At that point in time, I can’t really say much. I’m not gonna argue, I just have to accept whatever the conditions are and apologize and let her feel how she feels because she’s in a tough situation and she’s hurt. I understand,” Grant said.

Juliana And Grant Had Private Conversations About Grant Being Conflicted Between Her And Litia
Litia’s confessions about Grant’s promises were shocking, but Juliana admitted that she was not taken aback as she and Grant spoke in private about the finale.
“It wasn’t news to me,” she told E! News. “We had conversations after we finished filming, and he walked me through everything. It doesn’t surprise me.”
When speaking to Us Weekly, Juliana was asked about the questions Litia had for her, including being with a man that was torn between two women. Juliana took her comments in stride. “I think the only reaction I have is that we are two different individuals, and we have to go through this process very uniquely and very true to who we are. And I wish her well.”
Speaking with ET, Juliana shared that she and Grant “had enough discussions and conversations” to “prepare themselves mentally” for the finale, adding that Litia’s “perceptions” of what Grant shared with her were “her reality.”
It seems that the new couple just want to move forward with their relationship after having to keep it secret for months. They were also proving to be stronger than ever as Grant decided to move out of Houston, Texas, to Boston, Massachusetts, to be closer to Juliana.
The engaged pair are also in “no rush” to marry, with Juliana telling People, “I just feel like we want to live life together for a minute. A wedding is a big thing, and there’s so many people we have to meet. I want them all to have an opportunity to see [Grant], see us, and just have it make sense to everybody.”
As to where they plan to wed? The couple agree on an overseas wedding in Italy.
