Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, and Nollywood actor Ijoba Lande are currently at war over a song Portable made about Lande’s marital troubles.
In a video captured online, Lande expressed his outrage at Portable’s use of his marital issues in a song. He reminded the singer of how he once publicly lamented his own marital troubles. The actor promised that Portable would pay for his actions.
“Portable, I see all the nonsense you are doing. You are using my life story to sing. You will pay for it. When they slept with one of your wives the other time, you were crying all over the internet.
Portable, don’t worry o, I’ve seen all the rubbish you have been doing. The problem you will face is preparing itself for you to be using my life’s story to sing? Don’t worry. This useless thing that out of his five wives, people were sleeping with just one of them and he started crying and complaining around, you’re now using my life’s story to sing, making an album with my matter, don’t worry.”
Reacting to it, Portable further poked fun at him as he noted how they slept with the actor’s wife, yet he was still prostrating and saying thank you to the person.
Kemi Filani reported last month that Ijoba Lande had called out Baba Tee for allegedly wrecking his marriage. He revealed that his wife left his house in January 2025 and hasn’t had sex with him for 8 months. The upcoming actor said he is now the father and mother to their child.
Baba Tee, reacting to his accusation, initially denied it and threatened to file a lawsuit. Still, he later admitted he had had an affair with her, explaining that it occurred in an unexpected and intoxicated setting.
He claimed that he was unaware that the woman was Lande’s wife and tendered an apology to him, urging men to fear women.
Actress, Bimpe Akintunde had weighed into it, noting how Ijoba Lande is a good man and truly deserves the best. She admonished him to trust God and keep his hope alive as good things will come his way. Bimpe pleaded with him to accept Baba Tee’s apology.
