This week on The Kardashians, the group comes together for MJ’s birthday. As the matriarch of the family turns 90, everyone on the reality TV cast reflects on how grateful they are for their family members.
Meanwhile, Khloé is busy starting a next chapter of her life. In the middle of launching her new podcast and a new fragrance, will there be room for her to find a new romance too?
At the start of the episode, Kendall heads to Kylie’s place to help her make cinnamon rolls. They reflect on how very different the two of them are; Kylie says she’s “cooler” and “more unbothered” than her older sister. Kylie also shares that she’s been invited to walk in Coperni’s next fashion show, and Kendall is supportive of the idea. They joke that they deserve their own spin-off reality series at this point.
Across the globe, Kim and Khloé have flown from India to Italy for a quick trip together. They’ll see Andrea Bocelli perform in concert before flying back in time for MJ’s 90th birthday party. The sisters go to dinner with their glam team, who they describe as their “family.” Khloé says she’s having such a nice time that she doesn’t even miss her kids for once:
I feel like I was meant to be in Italy. I thrive in Italy. I thrive.
Back home, Kendall describes viewing the episode with Khloé and Lamar’s reunion. She said it was surprising to see how “cold” her sister could be, and that she felt that some of Khloé’s harshness towards Lamar was actually a result of how her relationship with Tristan ended.

Kim and Koko take India to attend the world’s most expensive wedding.
Kim and Khloé head to Andrea’s concert. Kim tells the cameras that she’s a huge fan of his, as he was singing while she walked down the aisle at her wedding. During the performance, he even bends down to hand flowers to them in the front row. They also reflect that their father loved Andrea, so listening to him sing makes them feel connected to Robert, too.
Kris is busy getting things ready for her mother’s 90th birthday in La Hoya. It’s a place that she’s been coming to for decades, so she wants to make sure it’s perfect for her. Kourtney unfortunately can’t be there because she’s on tour, but she sends her wishes ahead of time.

Khloé welcomes her 40th year with an incredible birthday bash.
The rest of the family members let MJ know how loved she is, aware that she’s still grieving the passing of her daughter. At the party, Kim gives a speech saying that she hopes that she looks as fabulous as her grandmother and her friends when she’s 90 years old. Khloé reflects a similar sentiment while speaking to the cameras:
My birthday wish for MJ is that she knows how loved and completely adored she is. She is someone who’s made such an imprint on all of us and is so fabulous, not just in the way that she looks and in the way that she carries herself, but in her heart and her soul.
MJ herself jokes that she’ll have another large party when she’s 100 years old. Kris tears up and says her mother is her best friend, and MJ says the best part of her life is having two daughters.
Later, Kim joins Khloé for a workout, and Khloé calls her agent about launching her podcast. She shares that she has 36 topics set up to discuss, and that Scott will be her very first guest. She’s also shooting a campaign for her fragrance, XO Khloé, making it an extremely busy work week for her.

Kim and Kourtney put their D&G drama to bed once and for all.
Kris’ niece Natalie is preparing to get married, and she and her maid of honor come over to work on the planning. Kris has agreed to help cover Natalie’s dress, and she immediately falls for the first one she tries on. Khloé notes that it’s nice to see Kris channel her love for Karen into being able to help Natalie with such a “special and joyous time in her life.”
Meanwhile, Scott and Khloé decide to throw a prank on Kris. There’s been a bear sighting in their neighborhood, and so Scott buys a bear costume for Khloé to put on. She even tells Kris’ security about the prank so they don’t attack her, then she sneaks into Kris’ yard while Kendall and Scott distract her. “Oh my god, it’s hot,” Khloé says from inside the costume, regretting the heat. “I can’t even see where I’m going!”
As Khloé approaches the house, Kris jumps up and says she wishes she had a tranquilizer gun. Meanwhile, Khloé gets stuck in the bushes as she tries to get near the window, cursing herself for blowing the prank. In the end, she walks up to Kris’ house and dances in the bear costume, and they’re both able to laugh about it.
All the same, Kris says she plans on getting her revenge on her daughter at some point in the future. For as terrified as Kris is of bears, Khloé has a fear of whales, and Kris jokes that one of these days, she’s going to find a way to sneak an actual whale into her pool as payback.
In the teaser for the next episode, we see Kim designing a new house, alluding to the fact that she needs to account for a “his side” of the place, even if she doesn’t have a new partner yet. She jokes to the cameras that she’s manifesting the right person coming into her life. Khloé also has a moment where the bear sits on the couch next to her and she jokingly introduces him to the cameras as “her new boyfriend.”
