Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of music star Davido, has lashed out at a Snapchat user who called her daughter insecure.
The mother of one had shared goofy videos of her and her daughter on Snapchat, and a fan had questioned why she doesn’t smile and laugh freely. The Snapchat user believed that Imade was insecure about her teeth as he noted how she has a beautiful set of teeth.
“Why doesn’t she smile and laugh freely? It seems she is insecure about her teeth. If my guess is right, she doesn’t have to be. She has a beautiful set of teeth”.
Responding to the Snapchat user, Sophia reminded the fan that her daughter is Imade Adeleke and has more confidence than many critics. She told the fan to back off with his fake comments and projections as she noted how she prefers posting on her private snap because of the negativity.
“Honestly, this is why I put more on my private snap, which has zero Nigerians on there. Y’all are constantly projecting or talking smack about a child. It’s irritating.
She said we were embarrassing her with our off-key singing, then she started to enjoy herself and remembered, then stopped, lol. She’s a pre-teen. It’s normal.
Lastly, worry about your damn self! She is Imade Adeleke! Sophia Momodu’s daughter!! She is doing just fine and has had more confidence than most of y’all since day zero! Back up off my child with your fake comments and projecting!!”.
In another post, Sophia stated that though she loves being Nigerian, she doesn’t like the behaviour of 80% of most Nigerians. She described their behaviour as disrespectful.
“I love being Nigerian, but I can’t lie. I don’t like 80% of y’all behaviors. Disrespectful!!”.
A week back, Sophia had expressed how eager she was for their daughter to grow up. The niece of Dele Momodu shared some gorgeous photos of herself in a pink dress as she stated that she can’t wait till her daughter is old enough to know that she is a baddie.
Late last year, the mother of one, while reflecting on her and Imade’s trip to Disneyland, shaded Davido as she stated that she fulfilled a promise that was intentionally broken to a child. She implied that Davido broke his promise to take Imade on a trip to Disneyland. Bragging, Sophia indirectly stated that nobody can break a promise to her child.
Sophia is currently in a bitter custody battle with her famous baby daddy. The former lovebirds fell out in 2022 after Davido went public with his now wife, Chioma.
In June, Davido filed a lawsuit, demanding joint custody of Imade as he claimed Sophia was denying him access to her and was extorting money from him, which she denied. A week later, she had opposed his joint custody battle, citing the death of his son, among others, as reasons the singer is unfit to raise their daughter on his own.
The single mother had also slammed his aide, Isreal DMW, for attributing all her efforts on their daughter to the singer. Sophia had taken Imade to Monaco on a vacation, and Israel had commented, saying it was Davido’s money that sponsored the trip. Sophia made it known that she doesn’t receive monetary benefits from Davido and, Israel privately apologized to her.
