The House of Representatives has refused to mention the state of emergency declared on Tuesday by President Bola Tinubu.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday night declared a state of emergency in Rivers State.
The President made the pronouncement in a nationwide broadcast to the nation.
Nigerians had expected the emergency rule declaration to be part of deliberations at the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
However, the lawmakers ended plenary without raising the issue.
Some members of the Green Chamber had engaged in a heated argument over the declaration of the state of emergency.
The incident reportedly occurred before its plenary meeting on Wednesday.
A video of the incident was shared online by AIT news.
It was reported that Reps Blessing Amadi from Rivers State and Marie Ebikake engaged in a shouting match just before the commencement of plenary.
The House commenced plenary shortly after the incident, with the lawmakers resolving to investigate the conditional cash transfer programme of the Federal Government.
