It is the birthday of Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, the mother of three penned a note to her Maker, expressing gratitude for the gift of life. She appreciated him for every breath, lesson and blessings that has shaped him into who he is.
Making a request to her Maker, Njoku prayed that God continues to guide her steps, brightens her path and fills her heart with love. She asked him to grant her wisdom to make sound decisions, strength to overcome challenges and peace to grow clearer.
She stated that as she moves forward, each day is a testament to His goodness and a reflection of the light he has placed within her.
“Dear Divine Creator,
Today, I stand in gratitude for the gift of life. Thank you for every breath, every lesson, and every blessing that has shaped me into who I am. As I celebrate this new year, I ask for your continued grace to guide my steps, your light to brighten my path, and your love to fill my heart.

For her birthday last year, Mary had called for prayers from her fans as she noted how God has given her another year to make her dreams come true. Her colleagues and other celebrities flooded her comment section with birthday wishes.
Early this month, Mary shared a hilarious conversation between her and one of her daughters, who trolled her for not enjoying fancy things during her youthful days. Mary further revealed that her kids call her old when she isn’t even 40.
In another post, the filmmaker revealed that she was yet to figure out how to parent her three kids. Njoku claimed that she couldn’t sleep as she pondered how her mother was able to raise eight kids and stayed sane. Meanwhile, she was finding it difficult and already losing it with just three kids.
