Kate Cassidy Admits To Having Trouble Accepting Liam’s Death
Kate still has trouble wrapping her head around the fact that Liam is gone. She knows it intellectually, but of course, grief can feel insurmountable, and she’s finding it very hard to deal with it at times.
She admitted on the British morning show Lorraine that she still catches herself talking and thinking about him in the present tense, and having to correct herself is extremely painful.
“I find myself talking about him so much in the present tense, and it’s something where I don’t feel the need to correct myself because I still can’t fully… that’s part of my healing journey.”

She also confessed that it might be a while before she’s ready to do that, since she feels it would make the situation too real.
“I’m still working on accepting the fact that he’s not here anymore, so it’s hard for me to refer to him in the past tense, and when I do refer to him in the past tense, it almost stings that little bit more. It’s more official.”
“I never would’ve thought that I would be talking about him in the past tense, so it’s definitely really hard to accept.”
Kate Feels Comforted By Fans All Over The World
One of the things Kate brought up to explain her grief is the fact that this is the first time she’s lost someone so close to her. This is a new feeling she still needs to figure out how to deal with, and she knows it will take a long time.
“I’ve never lost anybody before close to me, so this is kind of my first time dealing with anything like this and going through this grief and healing journey,” Kate explained.
But amid the tragedy, there is one silver lining: She knows there are many people out there who support her because they’re feeling the same way.
“I know I’m not alone in this. So many people have so much love for Liam, and I’ve said this prior, but he has impacted so many people in this world in so many positive ways.”
