A Nigerian lady has taken to X to lament after being denied a visa.
She revealed that she was denied a visa after securing a fully funded scholarship to attend a prestigious tech event in London.
She shared her ordeal on X, formerly known as Twitter and wrote:
“I got a fully funded scholarship to attend a tech event in London, but my visa was denied. 🥲 One of the reasons given for the rejection was that I wouldn’t return to my country after the event.”
With less than 10 days left before the event and the standard visa processing time being 15 days, she pleaded for an appeal, hoping for a reconsideration.
“Please consider me. This is more than just an event for me; it’s the biggest cloud-native conference in Europe. All I ask for is a chance to prove that I will return to Nigeria after the conference.”
