Another tanker fully laden with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as fuel has exploded in the headquarters of Kontagora Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State.
The explosion, Politics Nigeria gathered happened while the tanker was discharging its products at an AA Rano fuel station in Hannun Riga, near the General Hospital in Kontagora.
According to sources, the incident happened at about 7 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2025, as the fuel was being offloaded at the station.
While no casualty was recorded from the incident, the explosion, however, forced residents of the area to flee the location.
Abba Mohammed, an eyewitness said, “Fire Service personnel are currently doing their best to contain the fire, though the situation remained tense as the fire continued to spread.”
