Mr Fatai Odunsi, who claims to be the father of fast-rising singer Ahmed Ololadebutik, better known as Asake, is demanding a N50million house from him
Kemi Filani reported a day back that the singer’s father had cried out to Nigerians for help. The singer’s father was soliciting funds from the public so he can take care of his deteriorating health
Reports online claimed that the fast-rising singer had abandoned his father, who was paralyzed after suffering from a stroke. While some sources claim that Asake’s father was a deadbeat and had abandoned him when he was a child; other sources claim that his father was very present in his life and it was his mother who now showers love on him that abandoned him.
In an update to it, Mr Fatai and his family are making a specific demand from the singer.
In a new video, Odunsin and his family are requesting that Asake provide an N50m house in Isale Eko that would generate rental income to support him. Additionally, they are demanding a DNA test for Zeenat, Asake’s alleged 11-year-old daughter, whom they claim he has also abandoned.
A family representative presented with the singer, urging him to take up both his father’s and this alleged child’s responsibility.
“I’m I’m begging you, Ololade, Mr. Money. Even if Nigerians donate ₦10B to this man, just ₦1M from Asake would make him happier. Please take care of your father. If you don’t want to support him directly, buy him a house in Isale Eko where he can earn rent to survive. Also, if you are in doubt about Zeenat, the mother has agreed to a DNA test.”
Though Asake hasn’t publicly reacted to the claims, he seemingly addressed the first viral video through his music, in which he reflected on the pressure from those around him.
The lyrics of the song goes,
“You can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God and always remember the day you’ll die and meet your God. My people, can you see? Even my father wants to cajole me. I used to press money for him, and I did it with one mind. No one can quench my fire. God is the one that is taking me ahead in life.”
His lyrics undoubtedly suggest his stance, leaving fans to interpret his message in the ongoing controversy.
