Since The Traitors premiered, the hit reality show has featured several memorable players. For example, the show’s third season cast featured Tony Vlachos who left too early, the outspoken Bob the Drag Queen, and “Boston” Rob Mariano, who made questionable moves. Before that, Dan Gheesling flopped as a Traitor, fans thought Peter Weber was protected by the show’s producers, and Cirie Fields pulled off an extremely brutal betrayal.
One of the biggest reasons why Cirie’s betrayal was so incredibly brutal is one of the people she took out was the lovable Andie Vanacore. With that in mind, it is fascinating to look at how that betrayal affected Andie and Cirie’s relationship.
Cirie Fields And Andie Vanacore Made Up After The Brutal The Traitors Betrayal
During The Traitors Season 1, the cast featured a mix of reality show virgins and veterans. As a result, the season ended with the Survivor legend Cirie Fields and two first-time reality show stars, Andie Vanacore and Quentin Jiles.
The rules of The Traitors dictate that if the season ends with only people who are Faithfuls, they share the prize money. However, if any of the Traitors survive, they get the money and the Faithfuls lose. When The Traitors Season 1 ended, Cirie won the money since she was a Traitor, while Andie and Quentin were Faithfuls who lost.
When The Traitors viewers saw who made it to the end, they knew Cirie would get all the money. However, what viewers didn’t really anticipate was how brutal it would be to see Andie and Quentin react to losing and being betrayed by Cirie. Watching Andie looking so devastated at that moment made fans wonder if Andie’s relationship with Cirie would survive.
Throughout their time in Alan Cumming’s castle, Andie, who is non-binary, showed that they had such a good heart that they were incredibly lovable. As a result, seeing them break down in tears after learning that Cirie had been lying to them all along was painful.

In February 2023, the website for the USA Network interviewed Cirie Fields about her The Traitors experience. Fortunately, Cirie told the outlet that she’d made amends with Andie and that she was on good terms with all her The Traitors co-stars.
“We’re all cool. We’re all perfect. We’re going to have our reunion show soon. I can’t wait to see everybody. Everybody was so gracious and understanding and they all asked me why I didn’t recruit them!”
While it was wonderful that Cirie felt she was on great terms with Andie, that didn’t inherently mean that was the case.

When Cirie Fields spoke to the USA Network, she revealed that she believed her friendship with Andie Vanacore played a major role in her winning The Traitors. “I have to say [my relationship] with Andie added safety for me because we were so close and everybody trusted Andie.”
In February 2023, Andie was interviewed for the website Metro. During the resulting conversation, Andie revealed that it took “two days” for them to reconnect with Cirie, who they saw as a “mother figure.” Andie also explained to the outlet that they were able to repair their relationship with Cirie because of how close they’d become.
I think me and her were able to kind of reconnect because our relationship was really, really strong like that.
On top of Andie and Cirie speaking about making peace during interviews, fans got to see them reconnect on their televisions as well.
In March 2024, Collider ranked the best The Traitors players from the show’s first two seasons. Collider named Cirie Fields as the best The Traitors player up until that point.
During The Traitors Season 1 reunion, it was obvious that Andie and Cirie both had strong feelings about how things ended on the show. Andie and Cirie both shed tears while talking about their relationship after the betrayal, and they had disagreements about how things played out. Still, Andie and Cirie hugged at the end of the reunion and cemented their relationship.

Given that they were able to make peace, it is interesting to note that Cirie understood why Andie initially was so upset with her. During her aforementioned USA Network interview, Cirie stated that she would have felt angry if she was Andie or Quentin.
“I put myself in their shoes and I knew, if it was me, I would be devastated, and they were. I had to take the good with the bad on that one.”
Cirie Fields And Quentin Jiles Had A Complicated Relationship After The Brutal The Traitors Relationship
After Cirie Fields’ brutal betrayal of the Faithful, most of the attention was on the Survivor legend’s relationship with Andie Vanacore. That made perfect sense, since Cirie and Andie had been so close. However, it is also interesting to look at Cirie Fields’ relationship with Quentin Jiles since she betrayed him too.

Survivor’s Tony Vlachos called out The Traitors’ biggest flaw as a game after playing on Alan Cumming’s reality show.
In January 2023, Quentin spoke to Metro about his relationship with Cirie after she betrayed him. During that interview, Quentin stated that he made up with Cirie two weeks after the betrayal.
“I think we talked maybe two weeks later, she apologized and then that was kind of it. It took me a minute to get to my forgiveness, I had to go through my own process.”
However, during the reunion, which aired after his Metro interview, Quentin had a different take. Quentin called out Cirie for using things she knew about his personal life against him to win The Traitors. The fact that Quentin was so upset with her clearly made a mark on Cirie.
In February 2023, Cirie appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen as can be seen in a YouTube clip. During that clip, Cirie expressed her opinion that Quentin was the saltiest person during The Traitors reunion.
While reality show stars often get criticized, it was totally valid for Quentin to feel the way he did. He lost out on a lot of money that he could have used to help his family. Who wouldn’t be emotional about that?
