A trader who was identified only as Ifeanyi has been killed following a fight that broke out between him and one Eze who is also a trader at the Utako Market Abuja.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when two of them engaged in fisticuffs following a misunderstanding over space within the market.
SaharaReporters gathered that the two traders who had been selling underwear in the market had an argument over the space which eventually led to a fight and death of Ifeanyi.
He was said to have slumped and died in the process, leading to commotion in the market.
Meanwhile Eze has been taken to the Utako Police where he is being detained.
A source within the station who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters that it was a case of murder and that the matter would be transferred to the FCT Command in due course.
He also confirmed that the body of the deceased had been deposited in the mortuary.
