Michelle Gentry, the daughter of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has expressed pride in her.
Taking to her Instagram page, she expressed how happy she is to see all the love and positive reviews for her movie, Ada Omo Daddy. Michelle expressed how incredibly proud she is of her mum and her first Cinema job. She noted how Mercy Aigbe poured her heart into it with resilience despite the challenges.
Michelle added that the film meant so much to Mercy Aigbe and it tells a story that has impacted so many lives. She expressed how grateful she is to see it resonating with people and urged them to keep streaming and supporting.

I’m incredibly proud of my mom for her first cinema job—she poured her heart into this with so much resilience, even through all the challenges. Taking to her comment section, Mercy appreciated her daughter for the sweet words. She wrote, “Thank you, love”.
Hours back, her stepfather, Kazim Adeoti had also praised Mercy Aigbe. He celebrated her strength, greatness, resilience, and success as their first Cinema movie, Ada Omo Daddy, ended its Netflix run. He noted how they had a great run at the Cinemas as the results came out impressive.
Recall that Mercy Aigbe made her first delve into Cinema production with Ada Omo Daddy which was well received by Nigerians. The movie star couldn’t keep calm when her movie grossed one hundred and eighty point seven million and became the 3rd highest grossing movie. This was a huge milestone, especially with competition from Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
Late last year, Mercy was left overwhelmed after, Ada Omo Daddy bagged 10 nominations. She shared a screenshot of the nominations as she expressed how grateful and honored she was to be recognized.
Following the success of her first Cinema movie, the movie producer is currently working on her second Cinema movie, Thin Line which she has been teasing on her Instagram page.
Like Ada Omo Daddy, Thinline was also a success at the Cinema as it grossed over N100 million at the box office. Mercy celebrated the achievement by acknowledging her fans’ unwavering support and commitment to ensure her blockbuster thrived and stood tall.
