Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has shared one of the challenges she is facing as a mother to a teenager.
Taking to her Instagram page, Mercy shared a video of her profusely begging her teenage daughter, Purity to star in her video. Purity, who was in front of her mother didn’t seem interested as she ignored her mother’s plea.
In her caption, Johnson said her daughter said she was killing her social life, and she told her to repeat her. The mother of four went on to lament the challenges of being a mother to a teenager as she revealed that her daughter doesn’t want to do videos with her again.
“She says I am killing her social life and I asked her to say it again. Just talk am again.

Last month, Mercy Johnson had left her fans and colleagues confused over her family photos. The mother of four had shared photos of her and her family’s vacation outside Nigeria, and in the photos, Mercy was captured with her husband and their four kids. Her colleagues and fans took to her comment section to point out the striking resemblance between Mercy and her first daughter, Purity, which left many confused.
The mother of four had bragged about her first daughter, Purity’s rapid growth. She shared a video of herself and her daughter while bonding, as she marveled that her daughter is almost the same height as she is. She also made her followers know that her daughter is her best friend.
Last year, Mercy had lamented over an adorable video of her husband and Purity. The actress shared a video of her husband styling their daughter for her graduation. Mercy lamented that her husband and daughter are the two people who stress her with jealousy all day.
Back in 2023, Mercy expressed jealousy at the love and bond between her husband, and Purity. The politician had taken to his Instagram page to share photos of his daughter’s visit to his office at the National Assembly, where she received special treatment, which left Mercy jealous, as she complained about the level of cheating in her home.
Purity isn’t the only child Mercy has complained about. In 2022, the Edo State politician’s wife had been left displeased with her kids’ attitudes while on their trip to the US. At the airport, Mercy asked her kids to carry their bags, and they refused. Lamenting, the movie star narrated how they complained about how heavy the bags were.
