Po Smoke’s Killer Sentenced to 29 YEARS in Prison!!

Corey Walker, the last remaining man sentenced for Pop Smoke’s murder, was sentenced to 29 years in prison.

At the time of the killing, Walker was the only adult suspect. He pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and home invasion robbery with gun and gang enhancements earlier this month.

In court, Walker apologized for his part in the tragic killing.

“Even though the Jackson family isn’t here in court today, I would like to sincerely apologize for my unforgivable actions, although there’s no apology that amounts to the taking of someone’s life,” he said. “I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to my family for the pain and embarrassment that they have endured over the last five years, as well as an apology to my community… Today, I take responsibility for my dreadful part in these crimes, and as I begin my road to rehabilitation, I assure you that I will steer clear from negative behavior.”

Pop Smoke was fatally shot on Feb. 19, 2020, at a rented home in Los Angeles where he was staying while on a four-day trip to Los Angeles. Armed intruders broke into the house a day after the rapper posted a photograph on social media of a gift bag he had received, which showed the address of the rental.

Walker drove three defendants to the rental, where the three minors broke in and pistol-whipped the New York rapper before shooting him to death.
