A Second Proposal Comes

Right at the start, we see David torn between Molly and Lauren. Molly appears confident about her match while hanging out in the women’s quarters, but David seems to be leaning towards Lauren instead, telling her he has “love feelings” for her on their date. That said, he feels like he’s always made the wrong decision in past relationships, so he doubts his ability to make the correct one now.

When Lauren learns that Molly came away from her date with David believing he was going to break up with Lauren, she’s more confused than ever. Is it possible he’s playing both sides and duping them?

The pods are officially open in the Twin Cities.

Things are going much more smoothly for Devin and Brittany, the two continuing to bond over their faith. On his date with Virginia, however, she presents him with her grandmother’s ring, a symbol of her feelings for him and her attempts to open up more. The connection between Sara and Ben is also growing stronger, though she tells the cameras she wants to make sure they’re able to talk about things on a deeper level:

I am usually not a skeptical person or ever questioning people’s intentions, and all we have is just trusting each other’s word. But it’s led me to you. I feel like we match each other really well.

When Ben promises they’ll be able to talk through anything together, he gets down on one knee to propose, and she accepts.

Heartbreak Also Comes

The time finally comes for David to make his final choice. He cries up until his date with Molly, who tells him she doesn’t want to force him into anything. Eventually he admits that he’s more interested in exploring his connection with Lauren. Molly handles it well, all things considered:

I know that if someone’s not choosing me, they’re not my person.

After their breakup, Molly goes to Lauren and apologizes for saying anything unkind about her in the women’s quarters without realizing, as she thought David’s other match was someone else. “I wish you nothing but the best,” she tells Lauren tearfully. When David goes on his date with Lauren, he says he’s falling in love with her and that the strength of his feelings actually scares him.

We catch up with Taylor and Daniel, who open up about how they’ve both struggled with their physical appearance in the past. On that note, Sara and Ben finally get to have their in-person reveal, and both seem incredibly happy about seeing their partner for the first time. “Let’s elope,” he jokes to her, telling the cameras that he can envision their shared life to come.

After many ups and downs, David proposes to Lauren just in time for Valentine’s Day. Next up to make his choice is Mason, who’s still torn between Madison and Meg. When he meets with Madison, she informs him that she feels like their “story” has come to an end. She notes that she felt Mason made similar comments to both her and Meg, which was hard on her, even though it might be what the experiment calls for. His indecisiveness may have ruined his shot with them both.
