Augustine Onyechisoka Evans,

The 17-year-old son of a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been killed by gunmen in Mararaba, a Nasarawa state community, neighbouring Abuja.

According to Daily Trust, the minister, Ifeji Ausin Oha, was attacked by heavily armed bandits in his home at Gwagwalade, Mararaba in the early hours of Monday, February 9.

It was gathered that after being inflicted with machete cuts by the hoodlums, Ifeji managed to escape, forcing them to abduct his wife.

At the same time, the kidnappers shot his son, Augustine Onyechisoka Evans, who attempted to defend his mother and inflicted more matchete cuts on him in the presence of his other siblings.

It was gathered that after k!lling the son, the kidnappers then took the wife away and made a demand of N30 million ransom.

“The boy is the only son of his parents as he has four other females,” a source said.

“He did not like how they were manhandling his mother and confronted the kidnappers and they shot him.”

Spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command, SP Rahman Nansel, said the command was not aware of the incident.

Meanwhile, the deceased will be laid to rest on February 19, 2025 in their hometown, Mgbidi Enugu State.
