Jodeci Cancels Tour Dates After K-Ci Is Hospitalized With Pneumonia

R&B group Jodeci has been forced to cancel planned tour dates after K-Ci was “briefly” hospitalized after he “fell ill with a bout of pneumonia.”

The singer has since been discharged from the hospital but remains home as he recovers.

The group’s Friday tour stop in Brooklyn, New York, and the other on Saturday in Ledyard, Connecticut, have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a future date.

A rep for K-Ci issued a statement, saying, “We anticipate (K-Ci’s) full recovery with rest and care from his doctor.”

The group plans to continue with the tour next month.

Jodeci began as a duo of DeVanté Swing and JoJo Hailey, and shortly after, their brothers, Mr. Dalvin and K-Ci, were added to the group. Sean “Diddy” Combs eventually guided the group to stardom, and they dominated 90s R&B and the Billboards for years. K-Ci and JoJo would break away and succeed as a duo, releasing smash hits such as “All My Life” and “Tell Me It’s Real.”

After 18 years, the pair reunited in 2014, going on to release their fourth studio album, “The Past, the Present, the Future.”
