Here’s How ‘RHOBH’ Star Garcelle Beauvais Amassed Her $8 Million Net Worth

Garcelle Beauvais first joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 10, which premiered in 2020. She said there was “pressure” on being the first black cast member to join the series. But she’s made important alliances since then, including socialite and former ballerina, Sutton Stracke, who later joined the main cast in Season 11.

Garcelle has also made some foes, like Dorit Kemsley, who is “not her favorite person.” The feud even caused fans to turn on the reality TV star, with others criticizing her “always busy” storyline (because there seems to be nothing else). But Garcelle is truly that booked and busy, having amassed an estimated $8 million net worth. Here’s a timeline of her versatile career.

After moving to the United States from Haiti with her family at the age of 7, Garcelle knew she had to carry her family’s legacy somehow. Making a name for herself was the best way to do just that. In the 1980s, she pursued modeling at age 16 in Miami before moving to New York.

In addition to her print ads, Garcelle modeled in catalogs for Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. She subsequently graced the covers of Essence, Ebony, Playboy, and Harper’s Bazaar (to name a few).

Garcelle’s son, Jaid Nilon, has started modeling as well. He made his runway debut at Sutton Stracke’s Green Label Fashion Show in 2024.

Speaking to Tokyo Journal in 2015, Garcelle talked about dealing with “a lot of rejection” as a model. “You have to have tough skin, but you also have to persevere and be professional,” she advised aspiring models. “… Just keep at it if it’s something you really want to do regardless of the rejections that you get. That’s part of the business.”
