90 Day Fiancé: What's Really Included In The Cast's NDAs

Since the 90 Day Fiancé franchise became a reality TV staple, fans have been shocked by many dramatic revelations. There have been headlines about Angela Deem regretting bringing Michael Ilesanmi to America, Big Ed getting a new girlfriend, and about fans thinking Danielle Mullins is the worst. If that isn’t enough, fans have also learned about Stephanie Matto’s old job, Shekinah Garner’s feeling disrespected by Sarper Guvin, and about someone faking cancer.

Given everything that fans have learned about the stars of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, it may seem like none of them keep any secrets. However, one of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise’s most controversial stars revealed details of the NDAs that force cast members to stay silent in some ways.

90 Day Fiancé Star Rayne Fernandez Revealed How Strict The NDAs The Cast Signs Are

Since reality shows became a major part of the entertainment landscape, fans have felt like they’ve learned a lot about the genre. One of the reasons for that is the fact that many reality show stars speak publicly about their times on their shows.

However, there are facts about what reality stars go through that many observers don’t know. For example, many reality show junkies don’t understand that there are rules about what reality stars are allowed to say about the shows they star in.

The production teams behind virtually all successful reality shows force their reality stars to sign contracts. Those deals, which are called Non-Disclosure Agreements or NDAs for short, limit what the stars can say about their shows they star in.

Since the stars of different shows are asked to sign different NDAs, it is hard to know what each set of reality stars can and can’t say.

Many of ‘The Family Chantel’s’ fans were outraged when Pedro Jimeno divorced Chantel Everett but that hasn’t stopped him from living his life.

In January 2025, an In Touch Weekly article summarized a post from Rayne’s Instagram account that revealed details about the franchise’s NDAs. That post featured a screenshot that seemed to reveal the level of control that the NDAs 90 Day Fiancé stars sign give to the team behind the franchise.

In November 2024, a Screen Rant article looked at how revealing Rayne Fernandez’s Instagram was. As a part of that article, it was revealed that Rayne had labeled herself the “realest” reality star on her Instagram account. While that certainly is up for debate, there is no doubt that Rayne doesn’t hold back much.

According to the post, Rayne received a message reminding her that she needed permission to do anything else in the media world.

“Hi Rayne. Your agreement and exclusivity is still in effect through [censored]. If there are any interviews or other projects you would like to participate in during this time, please check in with me for considerations and approvals.”

The fact that Rayne shared that screenshot is fascinating for two reasons.

Before Rayne Fernandez gave fans an idea about what the 90 Day Fiancé cast NDAs are like, she’d already become an extremely controversial figure. Arguably one of the most controversial 90 Day Fiancé stars of ever, Rayne has faced backlashes for many reasons. One example of that is the fact that Rayne has been accused of spewing racist insults, as a Screen Rant article reveals.

The first and most obvious reason why Rayne’s post was so compelling is what it reveals about how much control 90 Day Fiancé stars give up.

Based on Rayne’s screenshot, it appears that the team behind the 90 Day Fiancé franchise has control over the kind of interview the show’s cast engages in. While the screenshot doesn’t make this clear, it appears possible that 90 Day Fiancé stars won’t be given permission to be interviewed by people who are critical of the franchise.

On top of that, Rayne’s screenshot appears to make it clear that 90 Day Fiancé stars are contractually forbidden to go on other shows without permission. That said, it is entirely possible that the franchise’s exclusivity deal are time-limited.

The other aspect of Rayne’s post that is so fascinating is how risky it seems to be.

When the team behind 90 Day Fiancé put together the contracts the show’s cast must sign, they almost certainly sought to protect themselves in every way possible. With that in mind, it seems possible that Rayne could face consequences for sharing a screenshot of the private message she received.

When Rayne Fernandez shared the private message about what she can and can’t do, she revealed that her public image is filtered. After all, there are people who have control over where Rayne can express herself without possibly facing consequences. Before she shared that screenshot, she previously accused the 90 Day Fiancé team of filtering her in another way.

Rayne appeared to accuse 90 Day Fiancé producers of using a digitial filter and the makeup team to make her look less attractive. Still not through, Rayne also suggested what she believed the motivation to make her look bad was in the same Threads post.

But the entire time I was set up to be the clown I guess. I did join the circus.

Based on everything that Rayne has shared, she clearly has a lot of complaints about her 90 Day Fiancé experience.
