Veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has written a note to God, querying him for his slow judgement on people who misuse his name.
In a post on her Instagram story, she questioned why God allows people to use his name in carrying out their lies and wickedness. She stated that she had shouted Christ more than 60 minutes times in one minute.
“Dear God, why do you allow people to use your name in carrying out their lies and wickedness. I just have shouted Christ more than 60 times in one minute”.
Though Hilda didn’t make herself clear on who she was talking about, many believed her post was related to gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former label boss, Eezee Conceptz’ saga.

Last year, following gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s fallout with her former label boss Eezee Conceptz, Hilda had shaded Mercy for biting the fingers that fed her. Hilda stated that one might think they know someone fully well until they allow them to earn power, fame, and fortune.
In 2023, Dokubo lashed out at Delta politician Okowa’s daughter following her appeal to Peter Obi’s supporters. Dokubo stated that politicians are beginning to confess, as she went on to liken them to the local witches at Okere junction. Hilda questioned if the rest of the politicians would confess or would rather have their offspring live with the shame they had left them.
In another post, days before the 2023 General elections, Hilda had asked an important question about her state of origin, Rivers State. She questioned if Rivers State was still a Christian state or now a confused state. She further questioned if Wike’s political greed and ambition had made him deflect from his words.
This came after her State Governor, Wike, who claimed that Rivers is a Christian and state after Ganduje threatened to sue him over the false mosque demolition news they spread in the North, supported APC’s Muslim Muslim ticket.
In 2022, the veteran actress revealed her reaction anytime anyone questioned her political ambition or questioned celebrities who delved into politics. The veteran stated that she always laughs when she hears such questions, as there is no difference between an actor leaving acting for politics and another leaving acting for law.
