The search for two children reported kidnapped in Pretoria West has been called off, with no new leads emerging.
A local security company, Uberwachung All Secure Corp, has now offered a R10 000 reward for any credible information that could help locate the children, who were allegedly abducted from the same spot on separate occasions.
On Monday, a search was conducted in Pretoria West for another child who was allegedly also taken at the same spot as the previous child in Pretoria West.
Leon Kruyshaar, DA councilor, said in a TikTok video that a member of the public allegedly saw a child dressed in a pink onesie being taken through a veld on the corner of Claremont and Da Gama Streets.

“We received an unconfirmed report that a child has been seen dragged away by two men near the R80
SAPS and the CPF immediately responded and cordoned off a specific search area,” he said.
It is believed this happened on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, a girl was taken at the exact spot on Thursday evening.
Police could, however, not confirm the two missing or kidnapping cases.
Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said no missing cases have been reported at the police station.
It is also not yet clear where the parents of these missing children are.
Director of Uberwachung All Secure Corp, Wayne Bezuidenhout, said the reward is offered for information that leads to the safe finding of the missing child.
Kruyshaar said the area was been cordoned off on Monday, and the local community is out in full force on Monday searching for the children.
About 50 community members, along with the police, Tshwane Metro Police Department, Community Policing Forum (CPF), and AfriForum, gathered at the scene on Monday morning.
The long grass of the veld was cut in the hopes of finding leads, evidence of information on Monday.
“Unfortunately, a bee hive was damaged during the cutting of the grass, and the bees attacked four people. One person who is allergic to bee stings was hospitalised.”

Meanwhile, Xander Loubser of Best Care Emergency Services previously made an urgent appeal to parents in the area, saying:
“We would like to address the recent reports concerning child safety in our community. It’s important to clarify that, due to the lack of credible information and the absence of eyewitness accounts of any abductions, no children have been reported missing since the initial incident (on Thursday). Based on a recent report of another abducted child, resources are now being mobilised to conduct a search.
“Given the current weather conditions, we are hesitant to allocate additional resources to search for a missing child without credible evidence. Therefore, we urgently ask all parents and guardians to immediately check on the whereabouts of their children, especially those who may not be at home right now. Ensuring the safety of our children and holding those responsible accountable are our top priorities. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we manage this situation. Please report any suspicious activity or unreachable children directly to Hercules police.”

- Obtain the investigating officer’s contact details, and send any additional information that might become available.
- If a missing person is found or returns voluntarily, inform the investigating officer immediately. A SAPS 92 form must be completed to inform the Bureau of Missing Persons that the missing person’s report can be removed from the circulation system.
