Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin’s visit to an airport Jersey Mike’s went horribly awry, and the ex-reality TV star doesn’t seem to have anticipated the social media backlash which predictably ensued.
Jen herself initiated the controversy when she shared an angry, in-airport rant via Instagram Stories — it has since been deleted or expired.
In the rant – which has been screen recorded and re-shared on several social media platforms – Jennifer and a companion are walking through an airport terminal, reportedly in Newark, and she begins: “Okay. So we’re, like, so mad right now. We were on line at Jersey Mike’s, for what felt like forever …”
Screenshots of Jen’s original rant show that she tagged Jersey Mike’s (@jerseymikes), so off the bat, it looked like she was trying to cause trouble for employees, or even get them fired over the interaction.
Jen continues, describing one of the workers: “And the 80-year-old that was working there, I mean, the amount of time she took to cut that bread was almost as much as we were waiting on that line. Geez.”
As the story unfolded, Jen sounded … like a person who holds up the line early in the morning at an airport casual dining joint, and she said:
“[A Jersey Mike’s employee] fulfilled the woman after us, first, and then when we were like, ‘where’s our order?’, she’s like, ‘you have to wait your turn.’ I was like, ‘but we were in front of her,’ and then she was like, ‘oh, okay, whatever.’
“So as she’s making my sandwich, I add a tuna sandwich for Jacob, and she’s like, ‘you’re gonna have to wait on line again,’ and I was like, ‘are you kidding me?'”
At this juncture, Jen says, she sought moral support from the customer waiting on line behind her, asking him if he minded her adding additional items to her order, thus increasing his wait time.
And for some reason, Jennifer was surprised when the man – according to her – “was like, ‘I mean, it’s kind of ridiculous.'”
The situation actually devolved from there, exacerbated by her tendency to keep talking when she ought to quit.

Literally No One Sided With Jen
As Jennifer noted, the unlucky customer queueing behind her – she described him as “a hater” – was, in fact, not thrilled to stand in line longer to accommodate her last-minute tuna sandwich modification.
One Twitter/X user shared two clips from Jen’s Instagram Story tagging Jersey Mike’s, and in the second video, she argues with the guy in question.
Be aware, the clips feature a few instances of mild profanity:
In that second clip, there’s instant cringe when Jennifer speaks, initially thanking the man in a manner she seemed to think sounded sincere, before correcting herself as she realizes he isn’t “on her side.”
As she films the employees behind the counter at Jersey Mike’s, she explains that the guy behind her called her behavior “ridiculous,” extending her scope of intended social media shaming from the workers to her fellow customers.
At that point, the man – who sounds extremely calm and bored, but also entirely over Jennifer – instantly loses the thin strand of patience to which he was clinging, and he says to her:
“By the way, uh, I’m a law professor.
“You put any of that online, I’m gonna sue you for every little [laughs] piece of fake jewelry you have on.”
After he says that, Jen herself gets worked up and says her husband is a “medical doctor.”
She continues griping, but it’s obvious his assessment of her jewelry got under her skin when she adds:
And all my s*** is real …

It’s not entirely clear whether Jennifer was sharing Reels as things happened, since the “law professor’s” comments could have clued her in to the fact that no one found her behavior to be reasonable.
Either way, she labored under the expectation social media users would “side with her,” sharing several minutes of the interactions and her rants.
A woman claiming to be one of the Jersey Mike’s employees, one who closely resembles a worker seen at the 0:02 mark of the first clip above, shared a response to Jennifer on TikTok.
That clip also appeared to be unavailable, but a copy was shared to Reddit’s r/BravoRealHousewives, and at the beginning, the woman addresses Jen:
“I really hope this stupid b**** has TikTok. I really hope I come up on your For You Page b****, I hope you recognize me.”
We’re not entirely certain the woman is the one seen behind the counter at Jersey Mike’s, but in the clip, she describes the encounter, which she said occurred at “approximately seven in the f***** morning.”
Although none of Jennifer’s Instagram posts seem to reference the Jersey Mike’s debacle, commenters did not forget.
On her most recent Instagram post, the top comment read: “You showed your true colors at Jersey Mike’s. 🤢”
The next one was along similar lines: “Comparing your husband’s doctor degree to that other guy’s law degree is hysterical. You’re not the one with the degree. You’re so embarrassing.”
However, a lengthy comment underneath that one illustrated the divide between the denizens of the Real Housewives Cinematic Universe and the people who watch Bravo’s programming, expressing sympathy for the workers and disdain for Jen as a whole:
“It’s the very first day of the new year, in the early hours of the morning. You’re on your way to a nonetheless a ‘vacation’…HOW CAN YOU BE THIS ANGRY and NASTY to these poor people so early in the morning????
“The attitude, rudeness, and lack of class was shocking. You’re a mom of FIVE children, who is publicly [known], using curse words at workers and bystanders, whose husband is a surgeon… RECORDING this incident and then you post it???????
“Mind blowing that you would think any of this is okay because you had to wait or didn’t get your way….🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Lady, you need help.”
Several other commenters told Jennifer she’d “canceled” herself.
Although she had quite a bit to say on Instagram Stories, Jennifer declined to comment when contacted by news outlets.
