After discussing how the public reacts to celebrity divorces, Joe changed the subject to Jennifer Lopez. While talking about the famous dancer, singer, and actor, Joe commented on why he was shocked that more male celebrities date and/or marry Jennifer.

When Joe was making these comments about her love life, Jennifer was involved with the baseball superstar Alex Rodriguez. While talking about that relationship, Joe seemed to have more faith in the former couple since he believed Alex could keep up with Jennifer.
“This Alex Rodriguez guy that she’s with, super athlete, smashes it. Obviously, it seems to be working.”
Joe followed that up by mocking how quickly he thought Jennifer’s relationships failed. Joe did that by stating that Jennifer and Alex “had been together for a long time.” When his guest asked the length of that relationship, Joe mockingly said months and then dropped that further by joking that their relationship had only been going on for weeks.
