Joe Rogan And Brendan Schaub Mercilessly Mocked Diddy

One of the main reasons why Joe Rogan’s podcast is extremely successful is that he doesn’t mince words. Instead, Joe has become so rich that his fans want to know how much his staff gets paid because he is willing to talk to Post Malone about weight and interview JD Vance about politics.

These days, Sean “Diddy” Combs is one of the most talked-about people in the world. After all, it seems like everyone has talked about the disturbing allegations Diddy is facing, who his famous friends are, what it was like to work for him, and about his relationship with his kids. Unsurprisingly, Joe Rogan has also talked about Diddy, including the time he and Brendan Schaub mercilessly mocked the controversial music power broker.

Another way that Diddy stayed successful for so long was that he managed to stay in the headlines for far longer than most celebrities. However, some of Diddy’s attention-grabbing moves definitely weren’t embraced by the masses.

One of Diddy’s biggest flops came after one of the times he tried to change his nickname. Unfortunately for the famous rapper, that nickname change that completely flopped also resulted in Diddy being mocked by Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub.

In 2017, Diddy announced that he was going to start going by “Love” or “Brother Love.” Diddy was so committed to that nickname at the time that he legally changed his middle name to Love in 2021.

As the conversation began, Joe spoke about how Diddy said at the time that he would no longer answer to any of his previous nicknames. As Joe explained, Diddy explained that he no longer felt like the same person so he wouldn’t answer to his past nicknames. Then, Joe mockingly remarked that he felt the same way, but he was stuck.

“I need something cool. Like, Be Smooth. Yeah. Be Smooth.”

Joe then openly mocked Diddy as he parroted the rapper’s statement about no longer answering to any other names. However, Joe mockingly stated that he would also answer to all of Diddy’s previous nicknames that the rapper was distancing himself from at the time.

“I’m gonna call myself the Superfly. I’m gonna call myself Superfly with Jimmy Superfly Snuka. That’s my new name, bro. Superfly. That’s it. None of my previous monikers. Sean Combs, I won’t respond. I’ll respond to all the ones that Puffy won’t respond to and Superfly. You call me Puffy, P. Diddy.”

For example, Brendan stated his opinion that Diddy needed the kind of friends that would tell him he was messing up. “That’s when you know you just don’t have the right people around you. You can just change your name and won’t answer anything else.”

For his part, Joe stated that he thought the whole situation was funny and then expressed his theory about why Diddy changed his nickname to Love.

That is hilarious. Do you think he was just high as f***?

Joe and Brendan continued to joke about the name change for several more minutes. Throughout that conversation, Joe continued to argue that Diddy was under the influence when he decided to call himself Love.
