An Ex-Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Prophetess Naomi, Agidigbo FM Boss, Oriyomi Hazmat and the principal of Islamic High School, Ibadan, Mr Abdullahi Fasasi, will Tuesday January 7, 2024 argue their bail applications before an Oyo state High Court sitting in Ibadan.

It was learnt that their lawyers last week filed summons for their bail to be argued at Oyo State High Court 8 in Ibadan.

Counsel to former Queen Naomi, Mr Musbau Adetunmbi (SAN), said once their summons are approved, the accused persons could regain their freedom before the next adjourned date while the case will move to high court.

Mr Adetunmbi (SAN) stressed that the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) could drop any of the charges preferred against the accused persons based on the provisions of the law and information available to him, adding that the DPP’s advice will determine if the trio have a case to answer.

Recalled that the ex-Queen Naomi, Agidigbo FM Boss and the School Principal were arraigned before an Oyo state Chief Magistrate Court on December 24, 2024 over the Ibadan Children funfair stampede on December 18, 2024.

Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi, after listening to their lawyers ordered them to be remanded in Agodi Correctional Centre pending the receipt of advice from the DPP.

The Chief Magistrate then adjourned the case to January 13, 2024 for mention while urging the DPP to act fast in sending his advice.
