The Coalition of Northern Groups has declared support for Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, in his concerns over the presidency sponsored Tax Reform Bills before the National Assembly.
The leader of the groups, Comrade Aliyu Charanchi, explained that the governor’s statements were made in good faith within a democratic context, addressing the legitimate concerns of his constituents.
While condemning the presidency’s threats against Governor Bala, he described them as unfair and dismissive.
Comrade Charanchi urged President Bola Tinubu to focus on resolving the country’s economic and security challenges rather than resorting to personal attacks.
However, Governor Bala in turn, expressed his gratitude to the groups for the support, reiterating his commitment to advocating for the welfare of his people.
The governor assured that his administration would continue working to address the challenges facing Bauchi state and the Northern region.
