Nwifuru woos LP federal lawmaker to join APC

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, at the weekend, wooed the Labour Party (LP) House of Representative member for Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, Kama Nkemkanma, to join the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Nwifuru made the request in Ishiagu Ivo Local Council of the state during the interdenominational thanksgiving and empowerment programme organised by the federal lawmaker, urging him to pull his supporters and join the party before it would be too late. He described APC as a moving train.

The governor made it clear that the party has come to stay in the state, urging other political actors to join before the electioneering period.

He further described the performance of Kama at the National Assembly and his empowerment items during the festive period as great, adding that the state is blessed with such crops of National Assembly members.

He described Nkemkanma as a great transformer and a humble leader who never minded his financial status while discharging his legislative duties in the National Assembly.

“People are asking me whether Kama is joining my party today, but I’m not after the party now; I am here because he invited me as the governor of the state, and that’s what is called governance. As you are sending the empowerment items to the wards, let it go to my party,” Nwifuru said.

He further described Kama as a prayer answered and a beacon of hope for the people of the state, particularly the Ohanivo people, advising him to join APC.
