Wednesday night Giancarlo Stanton proved why he is considered one of the powerhouses for the New York Yankees. Before Jazz Chisholm Jr. went for an at-bat, he tried multiple times but failed to get the donut off his bat.
Seeing his efforts fail, he beelined to his teammate Stanton for help. With just two hard smashes to the ground, the donut came off the bat, and he handed it to Chisholm. During the whole process, the 26-year-old could be seen intently looking at Stanton’s handiwork.
He beamed when the weight came off and he got ready for his batting moment. Unfortunately, the adorable moment did not continue till the end of the game, as the Yankees lost to the Rangers with a 10-6 record.

This season, the Texas Rangers were seen struggling to keep consistent win records, however, time after time they proved to be a strong opponent. Even Yankees stars Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Giancarlo Stanton could not give that boost, scoring 0-6 on Wednesday’s game.
NY Yankees performance and 2024 playoff expectations so far
The Yankees came strong in the season but failed to keep consistency throughout the rest of the games so far. They went particularly down from mid-June to July, until center fielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s trade from the Miami Marlins to NY.
His addition immediately proved to be a strength for the team and boosted their performance overall. Simultaneously, Juan Soto and pinstripes captain Aaron Judge are having a mindblowing season. The duo can be said to be carrying the team so far.
Giancarlo Stanton’s return to the lineup also added the extra power necessary for them to chase the playoff dream. Unfortunately, Alex Verdugo, so far, has failed to keep up with fan expectations and has been in his slump days so far.
It’s like the lil bro getting his big bro to handle sum 😂😂💯

During this September move, many expected the Yankees to call Jasson Dominguez from the minors considering the progress he has shown after his IL visit. However, much to the fans, and critics’ disappointment, Duke Ellis was named to be on the roster.
Yankees lineup calls, and strategies have made fans and several insider question their decision. Some even asked if they wanted to pursue the 2024 playoff dream, or just end it after the regular season games. They still hold their position in the AL East but can slip down to the Wild Card spot if they fail to secure victory in the rest of the games.
