Popular YouTube star and streamer Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter recently made headlines after revealing a negative encounter with actor Jason Momoa during the filming of A Minecraft Movie. The FaZe Clan member opened up about the incident during an appearance on fellow content creator Jason “Jasontheween’s” video series Hot Ones, where she discussed various topics while sampling spicy hot sauces.
During the interview, Jasontheween posed a straightforward yet intriguing question to Valkyrae: “What was your worst experience with a celebrity or streamer?” In response, Valkyrae didn’t hesitate to share her time on the set of the upcoming Minecraft movie, where she made a brief cameo. Her revelations took many by surprise as she accused Momoa of mistreating members of the crew during the shoot.

Valkyrae described the experience as “disappointing” and expressed her dismay over the behavior she witnessed from the Aquaman star. She recounted the situation, saying, “How do I say this? So, A Minecraft Movie, I have a cameo in it, and… I really have to say, Jason Momoa. I saw him mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing.”
The YouTuber explained that the alleged incident took place after an emotionally intense scene, speculating that Momoa may have still been deeply immersed in his role. However, Valkyrae remained surprised by his conduct. “It was after a very intense scene, and it was a very emotional one. Maybe he was still in character. But I was surprised by how he treated some of the crew,” she added.
As Valkyrae recounted the events, Jasontheween pressed her for more details about what had happened, jokingly asking if the actor had demanded coffee in an aggressive manner. Valkyrae clarified that Momoa was frustrated with the crew for not getting a particular shot right. “He was really mad at them. They weren’t setting up the shot correctly, and he was just yelling. He was angry—really mad! I thought, ‘This is not a good work environment. I wouldn’t be happy working under these conditions.’”
Summing up her experience, Valkyrae candidly admitted, “That was the worst celebrity thing I’ve seen.” Her remarks have since garnered attention from both fans and the entertainment world, raising questions about the actor’s on-set behavior.
While neither Jason Momoa nor the production team behind A Minecraft Movie has responded to these claims, Valkyrae’s account has certainly sparked discussion about the pressures actors face during intense scenes and how those moments can sometimes affect their interactions with others on set.
