TV star secretly sells husband's beloved Porsche – 'Sorry, not sorry'

Caroline Stanbury is unapologetic about upsetting her fan base last week after she sells her husband’s favorite car while he is out of the country on business.

In the eleventh installment of The Real Housewives franchise, the show goes global, following The Real Housewives of Dubai. The show focuses on the personal and professional lives of the cast while they live in Dubai, UAE. Brit Caroline Stanbury is one of the ladies on the show, married to Spanish husband Sergio Carrallo since 2021. In the midst of the airing of the second season, Caroline gets Sergio “furious” as she sells off his “baby”.

Stanbury sells husband’s beloved Porsche while he’s out of the country

Last week Sergio was visiting his home country of Spain when he learned some shocking news via Caroline’s Instagram story.

Stanbury, who had remained in Dubai to oversee several home upgrades, confessed on September 5 via her social media that she had sold Sergio’s 911 Porsche, reports Bravo.

“Say goodbye,” the personal stylist captioned a video of the vehicle parked in the garage. Before she added: “I sold [Sergio’s car] without telling him…”

“I’ve been avoiding Sergio’s calls all morning because… his baby is gone,” the 46-year-old said in a follow-up video, as her understandably upset and frantic husband was calling and texting her.

“It’s being picked up on Saturday. There’s nothing he can do about it. It’s been a lovely car. We love you.”

Sergio was quick to lash back at his ‘beloved’. “I hate you,” he captioned a reposting of one of Caroline’s stories.

Caroline responded in the most light-hearted way, with a post stating: “Oh well there is a fine line between love and hate.”

The joke escalated as Caroline shared an onslaught of texts she received from her hurting hubby. Though strongly worded, it was clear the exchange was all in good fun. Or so Caroline hopes as Sergio threatened to go after her Birkin bags.

“Hate you! This is not fair. I can’t leave the country and you sell my car,” read one of the messages Carrallo sent. “So sad now. Very emotional. Wait to [see] what I do to your birkin.”

“Touch a birkin loose a ball,” the Dubai wife captioned the screenshot, sounding like a lady not to be messed with.

Caroline is ‘sorry, not sorry’ to fans

Sergio must have received an outpouring from ‘understanding’ fans who empathized for his loss. Several hours later on Instagram, he shared “I want to say thank you for all the people out there who are sending all these lovely messages about it is not OK to sell my car when I’m gone.”

“You [Caroline] were waiting for this moment, honey, when I was gone to get rid of it.” He added while letting fans know he continued to be riled up: “Furious… Cars are untouchable.”

The following day it was time to say their last goodbyes to Sergio’s Porsche, and the Bravo star was far from apologetic.

“And just like that… it’s gone,” she wrote. “I have to say I don’t think in all my years on tv I have ever had so many angry male fans!!! Sorry not sorry.”

Maybe the Ladies of London alum should have been more sensitive to her husband’s belongings after he sold his first ‘baby’ to be able to afford her engagement ring.

When Sergio proposed in 2021 Caroline told The Daily Dish that, “He sold his first car that he got whenever he was however young,” in order to pop the question.

Sergio also revealed he’d purchased this car when he was only 17 or 18 and had big plans to keep it forever, that is, until he met the reality star.

“Everything was so fast, you know?” Sergio expressed. “My dream was to keep that car in my living room [but] I had to change that [for] Caroline.”
