Football Icon, Kanu Nwakwo has been appointed by one of the leading communication giants, Vodacom as its global ambassador.
King Kanu, affectionately known as Papilo to his millions of fans, won Olympic Gold medal with Nigeria Dream Team in Atalanta ’96.
Being one of the decorated legends in Africa and globally, the Chairman Enyimba Football Club lifted the Champions League with Ajax and the Premier League with Arsenal during a memorable career.
The former Arsenal forward will now represent Vodacom as Global Ambassador after signing a dotted line where Kanu will feature across a range of promotions and special activities.
Kanu described his sign-on as the perfect opportunity to join the most enterprising Communication Company in the world.
Kanu noted he already seen how Vodacom can be a force for good in the world, with modern day Communication Gadgets in place.
The Founder of Kanu Heart Foundation stated this while addressing journalists during the unveiling and assured he would be working closely with them to fulfill their yearnings and aspirations in their communication world and help spread the goal
“Signing a dotted line with Vodacom is the perfect opportunity to join the communication giant,” Kanu told Sunday Agunbiade popularly known as Mr VAR
“I have already seen how Vodacom is spreading across the world and its projects is designed to be a force for good in our world.
“I’ll be working closely with the them to help spread the word,” he said.
The Executive Head of Vodacom Tanzania, Mr Philip and Hilda Bujiku, affirmed that Kanu Nwankwo is a true football legend, adding that it is an absolute honour to see him join Vodacom team
Philip explained that more people around the world are learning that the best communication brand to join is Vodacom
“Nwankwo Kanu needs no introduction, he’s a true football legend and it’s an absolute honour to see him join Vodacom,” he said.
