The 2024 NASCAR season has marked the return of Chase Elliott back to his top form after missing out on playoff in the 2023 owing an injury and inconsistency. He was determined to cap off the comeback with a regular season championship win but failed to do so after losing out to Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick in the last two races.
Chase Elliott finished P11 in the regular season finale while the other two finished inside the top 10, with Tyler Reddick securing the title. Even the top 15 wasn’t on the cards for the No:9 Chevy driver as he admitted he got it just because of luck. He gave a very candid verdict of his race admitting he was very poor.
Very poor. We got a gift to finish where we did… a bunch of gifts. But yeah, obviously excited to have that one over with and look forward to getting the playoffs started. These next 10 races; they’re intense, so myself and this entire NAPA Chevy team needs to hit the reset button in a big way.Chase Elliott said via NBC Sports.
He has already shifted his focus to the ten playoff races and pointed out that he is determined to get things rolling with a good result in the post-season opener at Atlanta, which is also his home race. He is ready for the intense battle coming his way.

Chase Elliott teammate Alex Bowman had similar feeling
Just like his teammate Chase Eliott, Alex Bowman also had a disappointing race. The No:48 Chevy driver who finished P19 admitted that they weren’t good enough and things didn’t work out for him. But just like Elliott said, he is determined to dig deep to get their advantage back and get the better result in the possible wild race coming at Atlanta.
We weren’t very good here in the spring either. We tried some different things, but it just didn’t really work out. We’ll keep digging at it. I’m glad we get to reset. Obviously next weekend at Atlanta (Motor Speedway) is going to be a wild, so we’ll see what happens.Alex Bowman said.
The Hendrick Motorsports duo seems to agree on the fact that they were underwhelming on the last race before playoff and needs to step up. It would be interesting to see how the season would further playout for the Bowman and Elliott.
